DIRECTOR-AT-LARGE

My daughters, Amy, and Jolene, tragically passed away as adults. Amy was 36 years old and passed by suicide in 2015, while Jolene was 37 years old when she died from Neuroendocrine Cervical Cancer in 2020.

Following Jolene’s passing, I became involved with the newly established TCF Waterloo Region Chapter. I attended my first meeting in early 2020 and have continued to participate in both in-person and virtual meetings since then.

Professionally, I am a retired Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and former Group Controller within the automotive supply industry, where I oversaw operations across various North American plants.

Since the loss of my daughters, I have contributed as a volunteer in several capacities, including serving as Facebook Administrator for TCF/USA – Loss of an Adult Child and TCF/USA – Multiple Losses, acting as Group Treasurer for the local Scouting Group, and working as a Patient Care Aide and Greeter at a community hospice.

My son, son-in-law, and their families reside nearby. Together with my husband, we are fortunate to have ten grandchildren who bring us immense joy.The support I received from my TCF chapter has contributed significantly to my adjustment/healing process, and I look forward to working with the Board of Directors to provide comfort and support to bereaved families.
